I laughed out loud yesterday, making a cup of tea, when I remembered an occasion that I was round at Mum's with Stelski (the dog) and I had made Mum a lovely cheese and tomato sandwich, cut it into 4 pieces and put it on a plate on the little side table next to where she was sitting in her chair in the garden. I'd gone back into the kitchen to make us a cup of tea and Mum was tucking into her sandwiches. Bearing in mind, this was when Mum's eyesight had gone, I went back outside with our mugs of tea and Mum was feeling around her plate and said to me, you did make me a sandwich and cut it into 4 pieces didn't you? Yes, I said, why is that? ….Mum's said Well I could only find 3 …... and then I looked at the beautiful big ginger dog, sitting next to Mum's little table, looking serene...… Hmmm I wonder who ate the 4th one??!! ….. Mum and I both laughed and Mum said Stelski was helping her keep a trim waistline. Love you Mum xx
